Set to launch here in Malaysia in October 2022, the Mercedes-Benz EQC 400 AMG Line was previewed last week during the launch of the Mercedes-Benz EQS. The EQC is estimated to launch at a price of RM390,000, on-the-road, without insurance.

Equipped with a front-biased dual motor AWD powertrain, the Mercedes-Benz EQC 400 AMG Line produces a maximum power of 408 hp and a total torque of 760 Nm. With that amount of power and torque, the EQC400 does the 0-100 km/h sprint in 5.1 seconds and has a regulated top speed of 180 km/h.

Sharing the same platform with the Mercedes-Benz GLC, an 80-kWh battery pack now sits underneath the car floor. The fairly sizeable battery provides the EQC 400 with an electric range of between 373 km to 437 km – a competitive figure among the current EVs on offer in Malaysia.

As for charging, the Mercedes-Benz EQC 400 is capable of 11-kW AC charging and 110-kW DC Fast charging. With 11-kW AC charging, the EQC 400 takes 7.5 hours to fully charge (0-100%), whereas with 110-kW DC fast charging, it takes 40 minutes to charge from 10% to 80%.

As standard, the Mercedes-Benz EQC 400 AMG Line is equipped with Multibeam LED Headlights, 20-inch AMG multi-spoke alloy wheels, and an AMG line exterior package on the outside. It also gets aluminium-look running boards with studs on the side.

Inside the cabin, the Mercedes-Benz EQC 400 AMG Line here in Malaysia gets a 10.25-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, powered front seats with 4-way lumbar support, a Burmester sound system, and Thermotronic automatic climate control.
