Lexus Malaysia has recently launched the all-new second-generation Lexus NX in the form of the NX 250 Luxury and the more powerful and sporty Lexus NX 350 F Sport. Prices start from RM370,888 and RM389,888 excluding Sales Tax Exemptions.
Lexus said 95% of the components in the NX are new and on the exterior significant changes have been made to the head and taillight design. The light beams are now positioned in a single row instead of being stacked like before, while the daytime running lights are now integrated into the headlamps.
At the rear, the taillights now consists of a light bar that runs across the tailgate – which comes with hands-free opening and closing features – resembling the likes of Porsche’s Macan, BMW’s 7 Series, and Lexus’ very own LM and UX.
Opt for the F Sport model and you’ll even get a more stylish Spindle grille design with sportier 20-inch wheels and blacked-out side mirrors, roof rails, and window surrounds. In the NX 250 Luxury, the same is finished in chrome instead. The F Sport model even comes with adaptive suspension for different levels of ride firmness depending on the drive mode selected.
Under the hood, there are two different engine options. The NX 250 Luxury gets a 2.5-litre naturally-aspirated engine with 204 hp and 243 Nm, while in the NX 350 F Sport rests a 2.4-litre turbocharged engine with 275 hp and 430 Nm. Both engines are paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission, with all-wheel drive.
