Mercedes-Benz Malaysia today unveiled the locally-assembled A-Class sedan as part of its CKD push for its compact models, which also includes the GLA crossover. As before, the Mercedes-Benz A-Class sedan will be offered in two variants – A 200 Progressive Line and A 250 AMG Line, with specifications largely unchanged.
However, thanks to its new locally-assembled status, the Mercedes-Benz A-Class Sedan has been given a noticeable price cut, now starting at RM210,902.57 for the A 200 variant, on the road, without insurance, and inclusive of the SST exemptions.
EXTERIOR
The two variants are differentiated on the outside by their different exterior trim packages. The range-topping A 250 gets the AMG Line exterior package with a set of 18-inch AMG Line alloys, while the A 200 gets a more subdued Progressive Line exterior kit, along with the 18-inch 5 twin spoke alloy wheels.
Exterior kit is pretty much unchanged from the CBU models, with the only changes being the switch to regular rubbers (with tyre repair kit) from run-flats on the A 200 as part of the CKD treatment. The A 250’s cross-drilled front brake discs have also been switched to regular ventilated items.
Colour choices for the CKD Mercedes-Benz A-Class Sedan include:
- Polar White
- Cosmos Black
- Mountain Grey
- Iridium Silver
- Denim Blue
