No, they did not collapse a building with the pick-up in it like what Top Gear did many moons ago, but the “tests” these guys from WhistlinDiesel put the Toyota Hilux through, was equally painful, yet amusing to watch.
Within the first few seconds of the video alone, you know you’re in for something special as the presenter “made his entrance” with an epic J-turn. It’s not something you’d see often in car videos.
Every possible way you can think of to torture a vehicle was performed on the Hilux, including carrying over 1,000 kg of bricks and driving it through bumps, slamming the tailgate and doors a thousand times.
The Hilux, true to its hardy reputation, just took it and smiled right back. It was even driven into a tree and later on fired right back up almost immediately without even the slightest glitch!
They’re even opening up the comment section on other ways to destroy the Hilux in future episodes – can’t wait to see what else they think of.
