2021 Subaru XV 2.0i-P gets additional creature comforts

Subaru Motor Image has announced some additional updates to the 2021 model year Subaru XV 2.0i-P. Check out our review of what it was like here!

On the inside, the XV’s cabin now looks more mature with leather and suede-like upholstery. The design of the seats is different compared to the ones in the XV GT Edition and replaces the fabric seats in the previous 2.0i-P variant.

The new seat design is exclusive to the Malaysian and Thai market. Also new is the 8-inch head unit, with a similar interface as the one in the XV GT edition.

It’s paired to 6 speakers, with wired Apple Car Play and Android Auto. Compared to the previous unit, the new one looks more modern, is easier to use, with sharper and clearer displays.

With the updates, the XV 2.0i-P now costs RM131,788, RM3,000 more than before. The 2.0i base variant is no longer for sale, leaving behind the 2.0i-P and GT Edition as the only XV variants.

In the engine department, the underrated XV soldiers on with a 2.0-litre boxer engine, with 156 hp and 196 Nm – channeled to all four wheels for full-time all-wheel drive traction via Subaru’s Symmetrical All-wheel Drive system.
