Video: Nissan Almera 1.0L Turbo, 5 Things

It’s finally here guys! The new Nissan Almera is now on sale in Malaysia with three different variants available. The base model 1.0 turbo VL starts from RM79,906RM85,715 for the VLP variant and RM91,310 for the range-topping VLT variant.

All variants come with a 1.0-litre turbocharged engine with technologies adopted from the Nissan GT-R, pushing out a respectable 100 hp and 152 Nm of torque. The 3-cylinder engine is paired to an Xtronic CVT gearbox to drive the front wheels.

Refinement is expected to be the new Almera Turbo’s strong suit. Aside from the additional soft touch materials and more comfortable seats, Nissan has also worked on improving the Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) levels in the all-new car.

The new Almera also promises better stability and driving dynamics with several improvements made to the car’s body and suspension components. Having driven it briefly, one thing’s for sure; you’d most likely enjoy driving this Almera more than being driven in it. It has certainly come a long way from merely being a car Grab driver’s use.

For those who opt for the lower variants, Nissan is selling accessories through various packages to get your Almera Turbo looking that much more premium. You can check it out here.
