Video: Ferrari Roma 3.9L twin-turbo V8, 5 Things

Naza Italia has been on a roll lately, with three Ferrari launches in just two months. Not that we’re complaining though, especially not if it’s this – the stunning Ferrari Roma.

The new Italian baby grand tourer’s exterior styling is quite unlike other recent Ferraris. Taking inspiration from the brand’s legendary grand tourers such as the 250 GT Berlinetta, the Ferrari Roma features clean lines and sleek curves, without any of the superfluous vents and decorations.

It’s not just all show and no talk either – hidden in the beautiful body work are actual functional aerodynamic parts, such as the front underbody vortex generator. An electronically-controlled active rear spoiler sits flush with the rear screen of the Roma, generating up to 95 kg of downforce at its most extreme setting, all while contributing just 4% in drag.

Under the hood is the award-winning 3.9-litre turbocharged V8 engine, mounted in a mid-front configuration. The engine delivers 620 hp and 760 Nm of torque to the rear wheels via eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. Electronic wizardries such as Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer and Side Slip Control 6.0 help keep the Roma on track, even when going sideways.

The Ferrari Roma is now available in Malaysia for RM968,000 before options, duties, taxes and insurance. As with all other models in the Ferrari model range, a seven-year extended maintenance programme is standard on the new grand tourer.

Those interested in the Ferrari Roma can contact Naza Italia to arrange for a private viewing at the Ferrari Malaysia showroom at Platinum Park, Kuala Lumpur until the 29th of June.
