Kia launches ‘Kia Promise’ global warranty extension campaign to ease MCO worries

As the Coronavirus pandemic continue to worsen, many countries are forced into some form of movement restriction to help flatten the epidemic curve. In response to the world essentially shutting down, Kia has introduced the ‘Kia Promise’ global warranty extension campaign to support customers who may not be able to service their vehicles due to the situation.

Kia vehicles with their warranty expiring between February 1 and April 30 2020, will automatically be eligible for the campaign. Kia Promise will extend the warranties of these vehicles to the 30th of June 2020.

The Korean carmaker estimates that more than 500,000 customers from 142 markets could benefit from the warranty extension. Kia customers in Malaysia are also included in this global warranty extension programme.

Kia Motors Corporation President, Ho-Sung Song said in a note, “I hope that this small gesture results in many Kia owners like yourself having one less thing to worry about during the uncertain couple of months that lie ahead for many communities.”
