Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has just introduced a new Walnut Blasting Decarboniser service at all its authorised aftersales centres nationwide. This service is part of the Volkswagen Cares initiative and is recommended as a preventive measure to keep the engine running in tip-top condition.
Recognised and approved by Volkswagen AG, the Walnut Blasting Decarboniser service is an economical, efficient and non-corrosive method to remove the carbon build-up in the engine. Gasoline engines with direct injection technology will produce carbon deposits as a by-product of the combustion process which will lead to a less efficient engine.
Symptoms of an engine with high carbon build-up include loss of power, overheating, higher fuel consumption, rough idling and engine misfiring. The Walnut Blasting Decarboniser process can restore the engine’s performance to a certain degree by removing the carbon deposits.
VPCM recommends owners to carry out Walnut Blasting Decarboniser service every 45,000 km as a preventive measure and this service is available from RM515.
