BMW Malaysia has managed to further lower the price point of the G12 BMW 740Le xDrive plug-in hybrid LCI despite the upgraded tech, enhanced safety systems and a new 3.0-litre in-line 6 mill. Now priced at RM594,800 (OTR without insurance), the refreshed 7er is a whopping RM64k cheaper than its equivalent rival.
Out goes the 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo, now replaced by the B58 3.0-litre in-line 6 turbo petrol for a more refined driving experience. Coupled with the eDrive electric motor, the 740Le xDrive PHEV has a combined output of 394 hp and 600 Nm of twist.
In the midlife cycle update of the G11/G12 BMW 7 Series, the designers took on customer’s feedback that they want more road presence from their luxury limousine which resulted in the enlarged kidney grille, a taller hood (+50 mm) and sharper lower bumper.
