There’s now an upgraded Renault Captur in the market and local authorised dealer TC Euro Cars (TCEC) has even thrown in a special edition model to make the vibrant Captur even more attractive.
The Renault Captur has been given a bump in power, from 190 Nm to 205 Nm, from its new Euro 6 compliant engine that now comes with an auto stop-start feature. Transmission wise, it’s still utilising the silky smooth 6-speed Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC) gearbox.
Aside from the mechanical upgrades, the Captur also gets a new 7-inch infotainment system with offline/online navigation and Internet connectivity. It’s also able to support apps like Waze when connected to the Internet.
As for the Captur+, the special edition model sports a silver/black two tone front and rear bumper to go with the Captur’s already two tone body colour – not sure if that’s overdoing it – you be the judge.
Obviously the “+” doesn’t just mean “plus some body panels” and it’s job done; the Captur+ is also offered with hands-free power tailgate, a first in its class, where even the height of the opening can be adjusted.
Inside, it seems Renault has decided for the Captur+ to appear a little more mature as the Maroon combination leather seats and upholstery suggests.
Also provided in the Captur+ is a dashcam, door sill plates with “Captur” working and a boot entry guard that protects the bumper when you’re utilising the boot with 377 litres to 1,235 litres of space when the rear seats are folded.
Like before, four airbags and Hill Start Assist are standard, along with auto door lock, keyless entry, auto head lamps and a reverse camera to name a few.
Every Captur comes with TC Euro Cars’ 5-in-Captur aftersales guarantee with 5-years/100,000km free service and maintenance (parts and labour), 5-years manufacturer’s warranty with unlimited mileage, pick-up and delivery for service, 24 hours roadside assistance and a replacement car (subject to availability) if replacement parts are not available for over 48 hours.
