Video: Mercedes-Benz A-Class, Things You Need To Know

The W177 Mercedes-Benz A-Class range has just made its grand debut here in Malaysia in conjunction with Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s (MBM) Urban Hunting Festival. While the Mercedes-AMG A 35 did not make it to the launch, here are things you need to know about the A 200 and A 250.

The A 200 Progressive Line gets the new 1.33-litre turbocharged four-cylinder – a collaborative development with Renault – pushing out 163 hp and 250 Nm. The A 250 AMG Line, on the other hand, gets its punch from a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder unit making 224 hp and 350 Nm. Both variants are equipped with a seven-speed dual clutch transmission and front wheel drive as standard.

Besides differing in engine options and exterior kit, the A-Class range is equipped with the three-pointed star’s latest generation cockpit design and high-tech features. Standard items include the Widescreen Cockpit, leather-wrapped multifunctional steering wheel with paddle shifters, 64-colour ambient lighting and the innovative Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) multimedia system that drivers can activate voice commands by saying “Hey Mercedes”.
