You’ve seen us share a video on the new Fiesta ST looking rather underwhelming with Launch Control but this video makes up for it and salvages some street cred for the hot hatch.
That’s cause it sounds pretty darn good if you asked me – both on the outside and from within the cabin. From inside, check out how eager the pokey little 1.5-litre turbocharged 3-cylinder EcoBoost engine is and how relentless the speed is.
Also, notice how the centre “floating” display is positioned in the same way as the ones in most Mercedes-Benz’, except this one seems to protrude a lot more – unlike before when it was flush in the dashboard – not sure what it would do to visibility.
The new Fiesta ST makes close to 200 hp with nearly 300 Nm of torque – allowing to breeze through a 0 to 100 km/h run in just 6.5 seconds, before topping out at 231 km/h.
I guess this video proves that wrong.
