Rapid KL apologises for bus accident, sets up task force for insurance claims

Rapid KL has just issued an official apology regarding the recent incident where a Rapid KL bus went amok near MRR2 yesterday. Fortunately, no casualties were reported from all that mayhem.

Rapid KL CEO, Mohd Azam Omar said the company will assist all vehicles owners who were involved in the incident to submit their insurance claims. Affected owners can email their claims and relevant documents to [email protected].

Mohd Azam also stressed that the Rapid KL bus involved was in good operating condition before the incident occurred. According to a police report, the bus captain (bus driver) was involved in an earlier accident at Jalan Enggang AU2, Taman Keramat and fled the scene which played into the horrific chase scene recorded on a mobile phone.

The company deeply regrets the incident and are giving their full cooperation to the relevant authorities with the investigations. The bus captain is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital and Mohd Azam hopes that the public does not speculate the incident and wait for an official report from the police.
