Philippines President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is known for his crackdown against illegal drug trade which he executes with an iron fist. However, drugs are not only President Duterte’s only concern as he recently led the public destruction of smuggled vehicles to show his renewed commitment to combat smuggling. Fair warning because it is not a pretty sight for us petrolheads.

A total of 68 ‘luxury’ vehicles and eight superbikes worth P296 million (RM22 million) were bulldozed at Port Irene. Among the victims were a Lamborghini Gallardo, Porsche 911, Ford Mustang, Mercedes-Benz SLK, Nissan Fairlady and many more… If you have the stomach to watch the purge take place:

The President remains firm on the importance of peace and order in order for a community to become progressive hence the public condemnation of contraband goods. While many netizens voiced out their concern that the seized goods could’ve been auctioned off and the earnings can be put to better use.
