The new F90 BMW M5 was just launched in Malaysia and while we were allowed to unleash the 600 hp weapon around our Sepang International Circuit, reaching its top speed was another challenge all together.
There aren’t many places in the world that can provide you with the space and discretion to max out your car but in case you haven’t heard, the unrestricted Autobahn in Germany is one such place – a mecca for those brave and skillful enough to attain and maintain the top speed of their cars.
I’d recommend you to skip past the tacky techno music in the first minute and jump straight to 1:07. Almost instantly, you’d notice how effortless it was for the F90 BMW M5 to hit the 250 km/h where at one point, the driver even sped past a police patrol car at over 300 km/h.
Most of us in Malaysia may have never seen the 200 km/h mark let alone maintain that speed so this video definitely offers a very different perspective on what it’s like to be travelling consistently at 300 km/h – and of course, the risks and dangers that come with it.
Just don’t try it on the North-South Expressway!
