Check out the new AMG Speedway, the world’s first racetrack with AMG branding

For the first time anywhere in the world, a racetrack has now been named after one of the most recognisable brands in automotive and it’s called the AMG Speedway.

Situated in South Korea, it’s seen as an important Mercedes-AMG market as the German brand recorded a significant double-digit growth and a new sales record in 2017.

The 4.3 km track located not far away from Gangnam, Seoul will allow visitors to experience the brand’s Driving Performance as intensively and exclusively as nowhere else in the region.

“The AMG Speedway is the world’s first racetrack bearing our name. It underlines the importance of South Korea as one of our main markets. The AMG Speedway also paves the way for our face-to-face communication with customers and fans who’ll now be able to experience the essence of our brand here first hand”, says CEO of Mercedes-AMG GmbH, Tobias Moers.

The AMG Speedway is based on South Korea’s first permanent racetrack, inaugurated back in 1995. It was later on reconfigured and expanded in 2011, knitting together a circuit consisting of 17 turns; stretching into the grounds of the Everland Resort theme park.
