Infiniti Q Inspiration Concept named as the Best Concept Vehicle at Detroit

It’s a shame that the Infiniti Q Inspiration Concept won’t be making its way straight to the production floors because it was just named as the “Best Concept Vehicle” and “Best Designed Interior” by EyesOn Design at the 2018 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS).

The EyesOn Design Awards are the officially-sanctioned awards for the NAIAS and has picked the Q Inspiration Concept as one of the best-looking concept cars at the auto show. Infiniti’s latest concept showcases the brand’s vision for innovative VC-Turbo powertrain, next-level autonomous driving technologies and a unique human-centric interior.

The cabin takes on a minimalistic approach with floating touch screens to minimise the interior clutter. There is also a “meditation-regeneration mode” whereby the screen helps the passengers meditate to relieve stress. The interior is also trimmed in ultra-luxurious materials such as “Kabazakura wood” and Nishijin-ori.

For greater comfort and maximum interior space, the Q Inspiration Concept features a floating center console, thin-frame Zero-Gravity seat and pillarless rear-hinged doors. It is no wonder the judges took a liking for the Q Inspiration Concept’s interior.

While the Infiniti Q Inspiration Concept will not be going into production per se, it will steer the brand’s future designs when the company rolls out its next-generation of electrified vehicles.
