Honda Malaysia (HMSB) has just confirmed that the fastest front-wheel drive production vehicle to go around the Nürburgring will be making its way to Malaysia! The all-new Honda Civic Type R (FK8R) will make a public appearance at the final Formula 1 Malaysian Grand Prix happening from 29 September to 1 October 2017.
HMSB will be taking orders of the FK8R from 1 October 2017 onwards at 21 Honda Sport Dealers nationwide which are listed below:

The all-new FK8R is equipped with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder VTEC Turbo that churns out 305 hp and 400 Nm of torque. Drive is sent to the front-wheels via a six-speed manual transmission with Rev-Matching function. These performance figures give the FK8R enough grunt to lap the Green Hell in 7 minutes 43.80 seconds, the fastest for a front-wheel drive production vehicle.
Fully imported from the UK, the FK8R will come equipped with 3-Way Driving Modes (Comfort, Sport and +R), 20-inch aluminium alloy wheels and high-performance Brembo brake callipers, basically everything you see is what you get. As for the price, HMSB remains mummed about the final dollar figure.
Interested parties can head over to “Honda Innovation. Evolution.” booth, at the 2017 Formula One Petronas Grand Prix in Sepang International Circuit Mall Area to check out the car in the metal together with the Jazz Hybrid Mugen, Civic 1.5 TC-P and recently launched CR-V.
