Mercedes-Benz V-Class Limited Edition revealed, only 1,500 units worldwide

Mercedes-Benz has announced two additional variants for its V-Class MPV – V-Class RISE and V-Class Limited Edition. Both models will be displayed at the upcoming 2017 Frankfurt International Motor Show at the Mercedes-Benz booth.

The V-Class Limited Edition gets an exclusive Hyacinth Red Metallic paint job to appeal to the style-conscious customers. To make things even sweeter, only 1,500 units of this MPV will be made available worldwide. A Night Package which includes high gloss black finish for the wing mirrors, radiator, black tinted windows and 18-inch alloy wheels is also a standard feature on the Limited Edition MPV. An AMG Line can also be added for a more aggressive appeal.

Besides that, the Night Package which includes the aforementioned items will be available as an option for all V-Class variants from September onwards.

In addition to that, Mercedes-Benz has also added the V-Class RISE, a new entry level variant that offers greater price-to-performance ratio. With a base price of €34,990 (RM177k), this V-Class is available as a five-seater configuration as standard with the option for additional seats (up to eight). Two turbodiesel engines with 134 hp and 161 hp, both mated to a six-speed manual transmission or the optional seven-speed dual-clutch unit, are available on the V-Class RISE. It rides on a choice of 16 or 17-inch alloy wheels.

On board safety systems are aplenty for the seemingly basic V-Class with the inclusion of Crosswind Assist as standard while active safety systems such as PRE-SAFE, Collision Prevention Assist and Lane Keeping Assist are available as options.

The V-Class saw tremendous growth in demand in the first half of 2017 with some 29,000 units made its way to new owners, a 24 percent growth compared to the same period last year. Germany and China had the biggest appetite for the luxury MPV.
