Presented alongside the Honda Accord at its launch earlier today was the Honda City X Edition – a limited run variant based on the mid-spec Grade E trim. The Honda City E carries a sticker price of RM84,600.00 with insurance, but let us show you what else you’ll be getting for just RM1,500 more.
Priced at RM86,100.00 (OTR with insurance), the City X Edition comes with a pair of vertically mounted LED daytime running lights positioned right next to each fog lamp housing. Another way of telling the X Edition variant apart is the ‘X’ emblem placed next to the City moniker at the back of the car.
Inside, Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd has thrown in leather seats imprinted with the letter X. The boot floor also gets a trunk tray with the letter X. Other features of convenience include keyless entry and push start button.
The Jazz X Edition (priced at RM82,500.00 with insurance) was not present at the event today, but its specs mirror exactly that of the City X Edition. As a refresher, these two share the same powertrain – a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine producing 119 hp and 145 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels through a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), which helps propel the car from standstill to 100km/h in 10.6 seconds.
Both the X Edition models come with a 5-Year unlimited mileage warranty package and six free alternate services up to 100,000km. Also worth noting is that each service interval is now extended to 10,000km.
