Volkswagen Group Malaysia celebrated the launch of the limited edition Beetle Club here at their showroom in Glenmarie. The launch was dubbed “Welcome to the Club” – pun intended obviously. Prior to this evening, the Beetle Club masqueraded a sneak peek at the 2015 Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week.

Now, what sets this Bug apart from its ‘ordinary’ siblings are down to key few differences such as the 17″ Ravenna alloy wheels which in this case were wrapped in a set of Continental ContiPremiumContact2 rubbers and decals that run the length of the car’s lower half with the “Club” lettering.2015-Volkswagen-Beetle-Club-19

On the inside however, Beetle die-hard fans would be delighted at the sight of the Club’s two-tone orange and black ‘Vienna’ leather upholstery coupled with orange-coloured stitching with the addition also of the ‘Club’ lettering on the steering wheel.

The Club is adorned in a shade of Habenero Orange paint which oddly enough gives one a stern indication of where the Beetle is built – Mexico. Having said that, the Beetle Club is limited to only 50 units locally.

Mr. Armin Keller, Managing Director of VGM said, “Since its arrival on Malaysian shores 60 years ago, the Volkswagen Beetle has preserved its reputation of being an iconic car. We seek to constantly excite our fans by bringing these limited editions to them.”

The Beetle Club is available from RM152,888 and can be had at selected authorised dealerships and is available while stocks last.
