Lamborghini Aventador SV laps the Nurburgring in under 7 minutes [+Videos]

A couple of months after the unveiling of Lamborghini’s wildest Aventador, the LP 750-4 Superveloce, Automobili Lamborghini has released a video of their mad bull lapping “The Green Hell”.

No, the video is not about a bull having a meal in a green pasture. Instead, it’s an on board clip with Marco Mapelli piloting the Aventador SV during the Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyre development test at the infamous Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit.

With 750 hp and 690 Nm generated from a 6.5-litre V12, the Aventador SV was put through its pace at the Nürburgring, punching through its 7-speed ISR transmission reaching speeds of up to 325 km/h on the final straight of the circuit.

Suffice it to say the Aventador SV broke the 7-minute barrier, clocking in at 6:59.73 which is just a couple of seconds off the Porsche 918 Spyder (6:57.00). It’s quite an achievement because the mega Porsche is loaded with hybrid tech, while the Aventador SV relies on the good-old naturally-aspirated V12 mill.

You can relive Marco’s experience by watching the full clip, and may we suggest you to put on a good pair of headphones and crank up the volume for a full effect.
