Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 SV, the fastest production Lambo ever [+Video]

Lamborghini has released their latest bull into the wild, named the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce (SV). Having treated their bull with a stricter carbon fibre diet, the SV is 50 kg lighter than its non-SV sibling. Not only that, the SV is more powerful to match its meaner looks.

The SV’s exterior has been pumped up by the fitment of additional wings and scoops resulting 170 percent higher downforce over the standard Aventador. The back is an aerodynamicist’s wet dream, with an aggressive diffuser, and a sculpted bumper that rises up to be the base of the huge rear wing.

The SV is equipped with a set of lightweight forged rims measuring 20-inches at the front and 21-inches at the back, wrapped with Pirelli P Zero Corsa as standard. The Carbon Ceramic Brakes hiding behind those multi-spoke wheels are standard as well.

As the “750-4” name suggests, the 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 powerhouse now generates 750 hp at 8,400 rpm and 690 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The power increase is mainly due to the new lightweight exhaust system fitted to the SV.

Coupled to a 7-speed ISR transmission, the SV clocks a 0 to 100 km/h time of 2.8 seconds, while the top speed is said to be more than 350 km/h.

The name also hints at the number of driven wheels. The all-wheel drive system utilises a fourth-generation Haldex coupling system to distribute torque between front and rear, while the pushrod suspension system incorporates adaptive Magneto Rheological Suspension (MRS) for a more dynamic driving experience.

Further enhancing the driving experience is the pared-back cockpit that features Lamborghini’s innovative Carbon Skin® material and a pair of newly-developed sports seats. The instrument cluster receives new graphics too, and it even includes G-force indicator.

Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce will go on sale in Europe in late spring 2015, carrying a base price tag of €327,190 (approximately RM1.33 mil).
