Toyota Vios updated, all variants get keyless entry and push-start

The outgoing Toyota Vios is set to be receiving a somewhat minor update, as a quick visit to their website reveals. Like the recently updated Altis (read the Altis’ review here), all variants of the Vios model – mid-range E and base model J included – will be getting keyless entry and push-start ignition.

A closer look at the revised specification sheet indicates that the Vios 1.5G variant will benefit from an all-black interior with perforated leather seats, as opposed to the current beige-themed cabin. Thank you for that. Because this isn’t a facelift, there’s no visual and mechanical changes to the car, so the Vios soldiers on with its trusty 1.5-litre engine punching 107 hp and 141 Nm of torque.

Vios Price List

As of now, it remains unclear what other goodies have been thrown into the Vios, save for the keyless entry, push-start ignition and the G-spec’s blacked out interior. Pricing however, is revised as well, with prices starting from RM74,700 for the J-spec (manual) to RM94,800 for the TRD Sportivo variant. The J-spec manual was priced at RM73,200 and the TRD Sportivo at RM93,200 at their local debut in October 2013.
