For that chunk a dough, you get retractable panoramic sunroof, new 19-inch alloy wheels (17-inch on the standard), Adaptive Cruise Control, electronically adjustable leather seats, automatic parking system, active park assist and collision mitigation by braking. The SE’s cabin will also benefit from multi-coloured LED ambient lighting system. Honestly, that’s an absolute steal of a package added on top of an already impressive and popular SUV.
Powering the Kuga SE is the same 1.6-litre EcoBoost engine punching 178 horsepower at 5,700 rpm and 240 Nm of torque at 2,500 rpm. There’s also a special colour to go with the variant – Ginger Ale. For those who don’t know, the Kuga was given a 5-Star Euro NCAP crash safety rating with an overall score of 88 percent, the highest in the compact SUV segment. To add to that, the Kuga also retains its seven airbags count.
Packaged in the Kuga SE is Ford’s Extended Service Plan (ESP), which is a three-year or 60,000km maintenance programme covering parts and labour for free. The ESP also covers free replacements for selected wear and tear parts, such as spark plugs, shock absorbers, engine belts, brake pads and even wiper blades.
