We’re only a matter of hours away from the global debut of the AMG-only sports car, the AMG-GT. Despite all the camouflaged pictures seen circulating on the net, there’s no denying that the next car that’s set to roll out of the Affalterbach-based performance oriented arm of Mercedes-Benz does indeed look good.
The AMG-GT has set its sight to set standards in the world of performance cars, and will be benchmarking the segment as the best all-rounder. Some engineers from AMG have also claimed that the GT possesses go-kart-like handling abilities.
Underneath the long, sleek bonnet of the GT lies an all-new 4.0-litre twin turbocharged V8 engine, with 510 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque as output figures. It’s been said that at this point in time, the GT will have the seven-speed dual clutch transmission that will deliver all of the engine’s power to the rear wheels.
