MINI Malaysia launched the official video of the New MINI Cooper F56 recently featuring 4 stuntmen and 1 MINI terrorizing the administrative capital of Malaysia. Now, MINI Malaysia released another video showing how the team pulled off the stunts and camera production; The Making of Men vs MINI in Putrajaya.

Saatchi & Saatchi Arachnid, the creative agency for the project put together an all-star team that turned what was on the drawing board into reality. Starting with the stunt team, coordinator Raja Aris Dzulkifli gathered four stuntmen; BMX Freestyler, Fizzy; Extreme Pro Flyboarder, Shuk; Paramotor Pilot, Rizlan; and Base Jumper, Nasa.
Against these men was the MINI Cooper S F56 driven by Malaysia Gymkhana Champion, Ivan Khong. Stunt props and special effects prepared by Kenneth Chong. Meanwhile, camera and post production were carried out by creative and production house, Creature Communications.
The two-day shoot that took place in Putrajaya was not as smooth sailing as they hoped. “Whatever could go wrong, went wrong on the first day”, said Creative Director of Saatchi & Saatchi Arachnid, Kelvin Wong. Uncertainties and mishaps loomed the first day of production, even before the camera started rolling.
From gloomy weather to landing choppers. It however did not dampen their spirits. The production team, Creature Communications took it as a challenge and wrapped up the shoot in that two days as planned.
According to Director, Seelan Param, “Two days for this (production), theoretically it is impossible. But i’m surprised we managed to pull it off”. He also added, the most challenging part was trying to coordinate four stuntmen and the stunts.
