Audi will be introducing its new compact SUV model, the Q3 at next week’s Shanghai Auto Show. Being the smallest among all Audi’s SUV after the bigger Q5 and Q7, it is created to be in the market to challenge BMW’s X1. Well, for me, the Q3 has already won as the X1 is hideous simple looking. The front grills are just too vulgar, like oversized nostrils.

Powered by a 2.0 liter TFSI engine, this SUV will be offered in 2 variants of horsepower, 170 and 211. The 211HP version gets from 0 to 100kph in 6.9 seconds, top speed of 230kph. A 2.0 TDI option is also available with 140 and 177HP. Both TSFI models and the more powerful TDI are running on quattro permanent all-wheel-drive.

Seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission for the more powerful version of both engines, while the 170HP TSFI and 140HP TDI will be offered with a standard six-speed manual gearbox.

It will go on sale this June in Germany and to the rest of Europe soon after.
