Goodyear Malaysia has quietly rolled out their brand-new Goodyear Assurance TripleMax 2 (ATM2) tyres to the Malaysian market. The ATM2 tyres replace the existing Assurance TripleMax 1 and Eagle NCT 5 as the brand’s mid-segment passenger car tyre.
Highlights of the new ATM2 tyres is the new HydroTred technology that promises excellent wet braking performance, improved handling and comfort as well as enhanced resistance to sidewall impacts.
All these are achieved through Goodyear’s 120 years of history in tyre technology. The ATM2 features new boosted compound formulation that delivers improved performance in dry and wet surfaces while its optimised tyre groove gives the tyre superior water dispersion and a larger contact surface for better cornering stiffness and steering precision.
Engineers have also incorporated narrower lateral grooves in the tyre block to reduce noise resonance on the tyre shoulder for a quieter ride. The sidewalls of the ATM2 features two-Layer High Modulus Low Shrinkage Reinforcements to better cushion the impacts to the sidewalls. This gives you a greater peace of mind when travelling pothole-ridden roads.
Managing Director of Goodyear Malaysia, Ben Hoge said: “In conjunction with our 120th anniversary celebration this year which is a significant milestone for Goodyear, we are also excited to announce the arrival of the Assurance TripleMax 2, designed for drivers to provide a faster braking and safer driving experience, particularly on wet roads during this heavy monsoon season, into Malaysia.”
The Goodyear Assurance TripleMax 2 is available in 15 sizes ranging from wheel sizes measuring 15- to 17-inch. Hoge has also assured that the ATM2 is not any more expensive than the existing range of NCT 5 and the new pattern is now available at all authorised Goodyear dealer nationwide.
