Lexus Malaysia has just added a new variant to the Lexus RX SUV line up. The new RX300 Special Edition is the seventh variant of the RX offered by the company and is built upon the specifications of the RX300 Luxury variant.
Priced at RM434,000 (OTR without insurance), the RX300 Special Edition gains additional functional bits to the exterior and interior. Its appearance is enhanced by a new underbody panel that protects the underbody from debris, side steps for better ingress and egress, sun visors and rear step guard to protect the rear bumpers when loading and unloading items to the boot.
Inside, you’ll find a built-in Touch n’ Go reader and Digital Video Recorder (DVR) or better known as a dash cam, that has been integrated neatly into the cabin. A pair of Lexus puddle lamps completes the equipment list on the RX300 Special Edition.
As per the brand’s global direction, the RX300 is essentially an RX200T with a new badge. Under the hood, you’ll find the same 8AR-FTS 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine paired to a six-speed automatic transmission to deliver 235 hp and 350 Nm of torque. All-wheel drive is standard fitment.
