Super hot Lexus LC F confirmed for production, name trademarked

This news comes as quite the surprise. Lexus’ halo car, the LC is currently available in two variants – a 5.0-litre V8 and 3.5-litre hybrid. As is the norm, all F-bearing Lexuses come with the 5.0L V8, so we actually have no clue as to what could possibly power the LC F.

It appears that Toyota has already filed a trademark for the LC F, further affirming that the most hardcore LC is somewhere in the pipeline. To recap, the standard LC 500’s V8 produces 471 hp and 540 Nm. It’s naturally aspirated and is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The hybrid however, makes a combined output of 354 hp. Read our detailed explanation on the genius dual-gearbox setup too!

Back at home, Lexus Malaysia is currently offering two F models, the RC F and GS F. Meanwhile, the LC Coupe is also scheduled to make its debut here sometime in Q2 2017, so stay tuned for that!
