2025 Mercedes-Benz C200 AMG Line launched in Malaysia – replaces Avantgarde, new 360-cam, RM293k

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has introduced a new variant to the C-Class lineup in Malaysia with the launch of the Mercedes-Benz C200 AMG Line. At RM292,888 on-the-road and without insurance, the new AMG Line model is priced the same as the previous C200 Avantgarde, and in fact will replace it once stock for the latter clears out.

As an AMG Line model, the C200 receives several exterior enhancements similar to its C300 elder sibling. The front is distinguished by a grille adorned with the Mercedes-Benz star pattern and a sportier bumper with body-coloured inserts. At the rear, the bumper gains a new chrome strip that spans its entire width above the two exhaust outlets.

Rounding out the exterior package are the new alloy wheels, now 19-inch AMG light-alloy units instead of the Avantgarde’s 18s, paired to an upgraded braking system featuring enlarged perforated front disc brakes. The rest of the exterior kit remains the same as before, with LED High Performance headlights with adaptive high-beam assist and LED tailights.

Inside, the C200 AMG Line receives a new multifunction sports steering wheel in Nappa leather and AMG sports pedals in brushed stainless steel. The floor mats are also upgraded to Black velour floor mats with “AMG” lettering. The main creature comforts are identical to the Avantgarde model, featuring the same free-standing 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 11.9-inch portrait-oriented central touchscreen.

However, the AMG Line variant includes new tech features. It now comes with a Parking Package that includes a 360-degree camera, providing a virtual 3D bird’s-eye view for parking assistance. Also new is the USB Package Plus, which equips the cabin with six fast-charging USB-C ports and two 12V sockets.

Powering the Mercedes-Benz C200 AMG Line is the same 1.5-litre turbocharged straight-four engine with 204 hp and 300 Nm equipped with mild-hybrid technology (MHEV). This is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission driving the rear-wheels, which enables a 0-100 km/h sprint in 7.3 seconds.
