Chery has unveiled the all-new Chery Tiggo 8 in China via its official Weibo page. Taking a page out of the Tiggo 8 Plus’s book, the new Tiggo 8 will also be offered with two different designs when the SUV is launched in Q4 2025, CarNewsChina reports.
It is also reported that the all-new Chery Tiggo 8 will be larger than the outgoing model (as well as the Tiggo 8 Pro sold in Malaysia), measuring 4,749 mm long, 1,880 mm wide, and 1,710 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,825 mm.
Based on official images, the two available designs are mainly differentiated by their headlight treatment and front grille. The first, more conventional design is distinguished by its twin-inverted-‘L’ daytime running lights (DRLs) and a diamond-patterned front grille.
For a more unique look, the second design has an “X” pattern mesh for its front grille and relocates the main headlights to the front bumper, creating a modern two-tier layout. In this arrangement, the top portion is dedicated to the DRLs, which feature a distinct “V” profile.

If the split-headlight design on this version looks familiar, that’s because the all-new Chery Tiggo 8 is essentially a rebadged Chinese Domestic Market version of the Lepas L8 – a D-segment model for its export-only brand.
For the rear, Chery has so far only revealed a single design for the upcoming all-new Tiggo 8. This design features a sleek, full-width taillight setup and dual-exhaust outlets. While it is not known if an alternate rear design will be offered, the reveal of only one style suggests that both of the available front-end designs will share the same rear end.
Chery has yet to provide specifications for the powertrain and interior of the all-new Tiggo 8, but we’ll likely see more closer to the SUV’s market launch in China in Q4 2025. Nevertheless, we expect the latter to be pretty much identical to the Lepas L8.
Closer to home, Chery Malaysia has recently opened the order books for the Chery Super Hybrid (CSH) variants of the current Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 8. For those models, the company is claiming a combined range of over 1,200 km (NEDC) and a pure EV range of 90 km.
