Video: 2024 Chery Tiggo 7 Pro review – All you need in an SUV!


The 2024 Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is priced at RM123,800. This C-segment SUV is offered in one variant and is locally assembled in Kulim, Kedah. Its main rivals consist of the likes of the Proton X70 and the Honda CR-V.

Dimension-wise, it measures 4,513 mm in length, 1,862 mm in width, and 1,696 mm in height, and is underpinned by a 2,670 mm long wheelbase. It also has a 175 mm ground clearance.

Exterior-wise, the car comes standard with LED headlights, LED DRLs, LED taillights, sequential turn signals, LED rear fog lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, a powered tailgate, and auto rain sensors. The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro can be had with four exterior colour choices. This includes Carbon Black, Nasdaq Silver, Phantom Red, and Khaki White. Only Khaki White is paired with a black roof.

Powering the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is a 1.6-litre turbocharged inline-4 petrol engine that makes 197 hp and 290 Nm. Paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT), power is sent to the front wheels only. Chery claims a 7.0 L/100 km fuel consumption rating.

Moving inside the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro in Malaysia, it comes with a dual 24.6-inch display setup which comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto support, leatherette seats with the heated function for the front seats, and a panoramic sunroof. The SUV also comes with two USB ports and a 50W wireless charging pad with an active cooling system.

On the safety side of things, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is equipped with a 540° camera system and the brand’s ADAS 2.5 safety suite which comes with a total of 16 safety functions. This includes features such as Front Collision Warning (FCW), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Multi Collision Brake (MCB), Door Open Warning (DOW), and so on. Watch the video to find out more!
