Is this the next-gen BMW X3? Full image of all-new SUV “leaked” online

Earlier this year, BMW gave the world a glimpse of its fourth-generation BMW X3 (also known as the G45 generation), albeit with heavy camouflage being the only thing stopping us from seeing the car in full. Fast forward just less than two months later, it looks like what seems to be an uncovered image of the car has been “leaked” onto an official BMW website, which then got shared across the internet, including in a Bimmerpost forum.

Looking at the image, the BMW G45 X3 sports a front fascia that’s more angular and aggressive than the outgoing third-gen model. Making up its face are triangular headlights which house a set of L-shaped daytime-running lights (DRLs).

In the middle is the large kidney grille which sports a series of vertical diagonal graphics, a new design first spotted on the recently debuted fourth-generation BMW 1 Series. The bottom of the all-new BMW X3 also features a chrome strip, much like on the all-electric iX. The chrome strip design cue can also be found running across the bottom of the SUV’s front bumper.

The all-new BMW X3 shown in the “leaked” image also sports a number plate with a letter “E” suffix. In Germany, this suffix is worn by both electric vehicles (EV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) cars with over 30 km of all-electric range. Judging by the charging flap on the car’s front left fender, this is most probably the PHEV version of the upcoming all-new X3. Speaking of powertrains, the G45 X3 will be offered with both internal combustion engine (ICE) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) options. BMW has yet to mention the all-new Neue Klasse-based iX3 just yet.

However, when compared to the teaser car shown to us back in April, the car does feature a slightly different-looking face with a distinctly looking front bumper and lower air intake. However, it is to be noted that the car shown earlier was still camouflaged after all, therefore changes are expected to be made as the car gets closer to its production form.

Inside, the all-new X3 is also expected to carry a whole new interior, sporting the brand’s latest twin-curve display setup. The displays will also be running on the latest BMW Operating System 9.

In Malaysia, the outgoing third-generation BMW X3 has received a “Final Edition” treatment. Two special edition variants are offered, namely the BMW X3 sDrive20i Final Edition and X3 xDrive30e Final Edition. Anyhow, what do you think of what could be the all-new BMW X3 which is set to make its debut soon? Do share your thoughts with us!
