2024 Mazda CX-5 facelift teased for Malaysia, launching January 30th

The 2024 Mazda CX-5 facelift is set to be launched in Malaysia on January 30, 2024, at least according to a social media post by Bermaz Motor. The new front end of the CX-5 has been revealed in this latest teaser image, showing off a new headlight design as well as a new front bumper.

The caption on the social post reads, “Something sleek, powerful and extraordinary is about to hit the streets of Malaysia. This January 30th, we unveil a mystery that’s set to redefine your driving experience. Stay tuned.” The new CX-5 is also apparently renewed, refined, and perfected.

The facelift for the Mazda CX-5 is not exactly new as it was unveiled to the world back in late 2021. Malaysia is finally welcoming this revised version of the CX-5, which is just in time before an all-new version is set to make its debut sometime in 2025.

The new facelifted Mazda CX-5 continues the SUV’s evolution with a redesigned front and rear end, with the front fascia adopting a new three-dimensional grille and signature wing design. Similar to the Mazda 3 hatchback, the lower corners of the front bumper ditch any plastic trim or housing for LED fog lamps.

With its Malaysian launch set to happen on the 30th of January, no further details have sheen shared just yet. However, late last year details of the CX-5 facelift were leaked online and if the information is unchanged, there should be 5 variants of the Mazda CX-5 facelift which start from the base 2.0G 2WD Mid and top off with 2.5G 2WD High TC. It was also leaked that the CX-5 facelift will be getting two new colour options – one of them being polymetal grey.

The Mazda CX-5 in Malaysia is currently offered in 5 variants with 2 petrol engine options and one diesel engine option. All variants are likely to be retained for the upcoming Mazda CX-5 facelift.
