The Maxus MIFA 9 electric MPV has been launched in Malaysia, with 2 variants and with a starting price of RM269,888. The MIFA 9 is the first of its kind in Malaysia, providing an electric alternative in the MPV market.

The 2 variants of the Maxus Mifa 9 in Malaysia are the “Luxury” and the “Premium” variants. The “Luxury” variant is the entry-level variant while the “Premium” variant is the range-topping one.

The Maxus Mifa 9 is a luxury MPV that is slightly larger than the Toyota Alphard. It measures 5,270 mm long, 2,000 mm wide, and 1,840 mm tall, and with a wheelbase that measures 3,200 mm. Standard exterior equipment on the Maxus Mifa 9 includes a Front and rear electric sunroof, a Power tailgate, 19-inch wheels, and LED Headlights with Intelligent Headlight Control.

In terms of powertrain, the Maxus Mifa 9 is driven by a single electric motor that outputs 180 kW (245 hp) and 350 Nm. All power is sent to the front wheels only and the Mifa 9 manages a 0-100 km/h acceleration time in 9.2 seconds onward to a top speed of 180 km/h.
Holding charge in the Maxus Mifa 9 is a 90-kWh battery pack that provides up to 435 km of range (WLTP). The “Luxury” and “Premium” variants can manage 435 km and 430 km of range respectively. Charging can be done at a maximum rate of 11 kW with AC charging and 120 kW with DC charging. The former charges the car from 5% to 100% in 8.5 hours while the latter charges the car from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes.
Inside, the Maxus Mifa 9 is equipped as standard with features like an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a 12.3-inch head unit, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, ambient lighting, and 8 speakers. The Premium variant adds a luxury chair and a 12-speaker sound system.
