With more than 30 years of experience, Starrtrek Carriers Sdn. Bhd., a bonded car carrier has unveiled two of their latest automotive transporters in Malaysia namely the Confidential Auriga Deluxe 122 and the Blizzard.
As the name suggests, the Confidential Auriga Deluxe 122 features a fully enclosed, air-sealed tow bed that can accommodate up to six supercars or four SUVs.
Exclusively on the Confidential Auriga Deluxe 122, a special loading ramp with a tail lift is fitted to load or unload supercars with low ground clearance safely onto the tow bed. The roof can also be extended to provide more space when stacking up vehicles.
The Confidential Auriga Deluxe 122 has multiple openings on both sides of the carrier that can be fully opened to provide ease of access to the supercars, and aid the loading process.
Unlike the Confidential Auriga Deluxe 122, the Blizzard does not come with an outer shell/cover or a loading ramp with tail lift, as the Blizzard is mainly used to transport passenger cars instead. The Blizzard has a maximum carrying capacity of up to 10 vehicles, which is more than the average norm for carriers in Malaysia.
Both models feature advanced hydraulic systems to stack stationary vehicles efficiently on the tow bed, making room for the entry of the next vehicle.
As Starrtrek Carriers Sdn. Bhd. Managing Director, Datuk mentioned, carrier drivers are the core of the company, and safety is not to be neglected. Cameras have been placed strategically throughout the carrier to ensure a safe journey. These include:
- Blindspot camera on both sides of the carrier
- Front facing camera
- Driver facing camera
The front-facing cameras are fitted to support the lane departure and pre-collision alert features. The driver-facing camera not only monitors the driver’s attention but an alarm will be triggered when a safety hazard is detected, such as the driver not wearing a seatbelt or using the phone while driving. The video footage will be stored and can be further reviewed if necessary.
All models are fitted with GPS systems that provide information on the route taken and location history. The company will also receive geofence alerts during the entry or exit of the pick-up location.
