You can now charge your PHEVs at Genting Highlands Premium Outlets

Schneider Electric along with Resorts World Genting has recently launched the first electric vehicle charging station at the Awana SkyCentral Transportation Hub Car park at Genting Highlands Premium Outlets (GPHO).

The Schneider Electrics’ EVlink Smart Wallbox charger is compatible with all electric vehicles on the road today, capable of charging up to 10 times faster than a domestic socket outlet.

Located Level B1 of the GPHO parking facility, the charging station is open 24 hours and is free of charge.

There are nine charging bays available, located at each with 7.4kW charging power via a Type 2 socket outlet, offering 40 km of electric range from an average charging time of four hours.

Resorts World Genting, Vice President of Hotel Operations, Mr. Ganesan Subramaniam said, “We can confidently say that many of our customers drive PHEVs and there is a need to have EV charger at the carpark.”

“There is an average of 50% occupancy rate in the 5,000 bay car park during the weekdays and on public holidays and weekends over 100%,” he added.
