The new Polo GTI has been launched for almost a year now; ditching the old 1.8-litre turbo engine for a more powerful 2.0-litre TSI engine that makes around 200 hp and 320 Nm of torque.
While its 0 to 100 km/h time remains similar to that of the previous 1.8-litre turbo model (at 6.7 seconds), it now makes nearly 10 hp and 70 Nm more torque than its predecessor.
Instead of wondering how much quicker the new Polo GTI is against its old self, why not pitch it against the Golf GTI Performance with 230 hp in a drag race?
