The Mercedes-AMG compact car lineup of the future will reportedly receive a second tier variant to complement the company’s highly successful 45 models.
With the next-generation A 45 packing at least 400 hp from a 2.0-litre turbocharged four banger (hand-built at AMG, of course), expect more toned down versions of these AMG hatchlings with figures around the 300 hp ballpark.
There are no details of the development at press time, but Mercedes-AMG are confident that their two-tiered performance car strategy will make the brand more accessible and affordable. In fact, the A-Class sedan (pictured above) will also get the 45 treatment!
