The mission was classified. All we knew was, we had to fly to Siem Riep, Cambodia, to complete it. You don’t say no to Porsche, Angkor Wat, Cayenne, Macan, offroading, and possibly Lara Croft, do you? Challenge accepted!

Thrilling indeed as we got to test the Cayenne and Macan around the sacred land of Angkor with missions to be completed. We had to search for treasures in one of the temples, just like Lara Croft in Tomb Raider. Well, minus the sexy part.
This unique regional media event was hosted by Porsche Cambodia to showcase the offroad capabilities of its SUVs. The German automaker set foot in the Kingdom of Cambodia in 2014, joining other premium brands on the roads in the up and coming South East Asian market.
The latest generation Porsche Cayenne was launched in Malaysia last year with an extensive line-up. Ranging from the standard 300 hp Cayenne, all the way up to the 440 hp ferocious sounding Cayenne GTS.
The updated Porsche Macan was launched recently with a slight upgrade of 20 hp and 15 Nm in the standard 2.0-litre variant. It now produces 252hp and 370Nm of torque. The top of the range 3.6-litre V6 Macan Turbo produces 400hp and 550Nm of torque.
It was truly an amazing drive in the Cayenne and Macan in Siem Reap. These premium SUVs with racing car DNA are more than capable in tackling dirt, rock and sand terrains. Also, they are really comfortable and fast on the road for a long distance drive.
