A new BYD outlet in Hartamas is now open under the management of Harmony Auto, a comprehensive automobile dealership group in China. Specifically located at Hartamas Shopping Centre, the outlet spans 8,000 square feet and is directly accessible from the mall’s parking lot.
With plans to transform into a 3S centre, the current Hartamas outlet is a showroom only. It is equipped with 6 parking spaces and 4 charging stations on the outside.
The planned Service and Spare Parts Centre at the Hartamas outlet will be ready in Q4 this year. With the 3S centre fully operational, this BYD outlet will be the first 3S centre located in a shopping mall. In the future, the two parties will further strengthen cooperation, opening more BYD dealerships in Malaysia and jointly promoting the prosperity and development of the Malaysian new energy vehicle market.
During the officiation of the launch, BYD Asia-Pacific President, Mr. Liang Xinyue said “The opening of the BYD Hartamas outlet in a mall not only brings new vitality to the Malaysian market but also injects new momentum into introducing Malaysia’s green travel”.
He added that the location is ideal as it offers customers the convenience of shopping for BYD products and servicing their cars as well. Liang believes that BYD customers in Hartamas and its surrounding areas are growing, and the opening of this new outlet meets the demand of customers looking for green vehicles.
BYD’s current lineup in Malaysia consists of the BYD Dolphin, BYD Atto 3, and the BYD Seal. The Seal is the latest model to be introduced and it competes with the likes of the Tesla Model 3. The Dolphin and the Atto 3 are affordable EV offerings from BYD which offer an easy entry into EV ownership.
