Last night at the Malaysia Car of the Year (COTY) Awards 2017 saw Honda taking a big collective win in multiple categories along with the “Overall Car of the Year” award with the Honda Jazz Sport Hybrid.
The 16th edition of the awards also saw Tan Chong Group taking home an award for “Championing Sustainable Mobility” while the “Automotive Man of the Year” award went to Dato’ Dr. Zahari Husin for his work as Managing Director of Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd.
Elsewhere, the Volvo XC90 T8 Twin Engine was conferred the “Good Design” and “Plug-in Hybrid Car of the Year” awards while the Hyundai Ioniq 1.6 HEV was appointed the Hybrid Car of the Year.
Unsurprising, the Mazda CX-5 was the “Top Export Car of the Year” while a wide range of models from various manufacturers were all conferred their deserved share of appraisals.
