Presenting the Lamborghini Huracan EVO, the updated super sportscar from Sant’Agata Bolognese that spots the same drivetrain and technologies as the Huracan Performante.
As a result, the 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 engine is now pushing 640 hp and 600 Nm of torque, paired to a recalibrated seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. With a dry weight of 1,422 kg, the Huracan EVO can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and 0 to 200 km/h in 9.0 seconds. It also boasts a top speed in excess of 325 km/h.
That’s not all, new software and hardware components have been added to improve the mid-engine sports car’s responsiveness, agility and easiness to drive. For starters, the Huracan EVO now features rear-wheel steering and new torque vectoring system that works together with the Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata (LDVI) that anticipates the driver’s next move and sets up the car’s dynamic systems for maximum stability in high-speed cornering and under braking in the most severe conditions.
The magneto rheological suspension is now version 2.0 that can adjust the damping quicker and more accurately for better road holding capabilities around the bends. All these innovations under the LDVI creates a super-agile and responsive car with superior levels of control.
Lamborghini did not spend too much time on the design side of things (why would they, the Huracan already looks uber cool), new bits include a restyled front bumper with enlarged air intakes, new side air intakes and new rear bumper to house the twin outlet sports exhaust system. There is also a raised ducktail rear spoiler that works together with the new body trims for better aerodynamics.
Inside, the biggest change you’ll find is a new 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system positioned just above the start button. The new multimedia system now incorporates all the cars main functions including seats, climate and the status of the LDVI system in real-time. There is also now Apple Carplay connectivity and an optional dual-camera track telemetry system to record and analyse on-track performance.
