Mercedes-Benz Malaysia is continuing its wave of launches with the introduction of the Mercedes-AMG GLC43 Coupe. This AMG performance variant of the GLC model series is priced from RM498,888 on-the-road without insurance, and will be locally assembled (CKD) in Pekan, making it the second locally assembled Mercedes-AMG model after Mercedes-AMG C43.
The Mercedes-AMG GLC43 Coupe distinguishes itself from the standard Mercedes-Benz GLC 350e Coupe with more aggressive AMG design elements. A redesigned front end featuring an AMG-specific radiator grille sets the tone, while 21-inch AMG Y-spoke alloy wheels and quad rear exhaust tips further emphasize its sporty character. Blacked-out trim pieces, such as the mirror caps, and a lowered ride height complete the athletic look.
Under the hood, the GLC43 Coupe boasts a 48V mild hybrid (MHEV) system and a “one man, one engine” 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine equipped with an electric exhaust gas turbocharger featuring Formula 1-derived technology. The engine is paired with a belt-driven starter-generator (RSG) for an additional boost of 14 hp and 150 Nm, contributing to a total output of 421 hp and 500 Nm.
With the AMG Speedshift MCT 9G transmission, the Mercedes-AMG GLC43 Coupe sprints from 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds, while its top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h. Power is channelled to all four wheels via the 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system with a rear-biased torque distribution (39% front, 61% rear).

The GLC43’s interior echoes the sporty theme. The AMG Performance steering wheel, complete with toggles for adjusting driving dynamics, takes centre stage. Drivers can further personalize their experience with the AMG Dynamic Select driving program.
AMG-specific displays and functions enhance the MBUX infotainment system. Other exclusive touches include AMG sports pedals, AMG floor mats, Burmester 3D surround sound system and illuminated door sills with AMG lettering.
For safety, the new 2024 Mercedes-AMG GLC43 Coupe in Malaysia comes standard with the Driving Assistant Package, which consists of autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with stop-go functionality, lane centring assist, a blind spot monitor, and Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC.
