Video: Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica now in Malaysia, 5 Things

Just a month after launching the new, track-focused Huracan STO, Lamborghini Malaysia has introduced the Huracan Tecnica in Malaysia to the tune of RM1.05 million before options and duties.

Within wide range of Huracan supercars on sale, the Tecnica sits between the Huracan STO and the Huracan Evo RWD. In fact, the Tecnica is based heavily on the STO without compromising on creature comforts and practicality.

For example, the Tecnica gets a vertical rear windscreen for better rear visibility, unlike the STO which is completely covered. The Tecnica comes with less aerodynamic aids, hence the more subtle rear spoiler but you’d be wrong to think that the Tecnica is a tame Lamborghini; it’s anything but.

Underneath its carbon fibre rear bonnet, is a 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V10 and 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox combo taken from the Huracan STO. The Tecnica produces 640 hp and 565 Nm, propelling it from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, a tad slower than the Huracan STO at 3.0 seconds flat.

As for top speed, the Tecnica actually achieves higher figures, 325 km/h against the Huracan STO’s 310 km/h top speed. This is because the Tecnica does not have as many aerodynamic components as the Huracan STO – allowing it to be just a little more slippery through the wind.

The Tecnica is the second lightest Huracan behind the Huracan STO, weighing just 1,379 kg. With the new Tecnica, Lamborghini has developed a sharper sound from the V10 engine, with more immediate throttle response similar to the STO.

As for the exterior, check out the video and find out how different the Tecnica looks from the other Huracan supercars!
