New Isuzu D-Max model teased – launching in Malaysia tomorrow!

Isuzu Malaysia has just teased a new variant to the popular all-new Isuzu D-Max pick-up truck, simply called ‘4X2 Auto Plus’.

While the silhouette of a double cab Isuzu D-Max doesn’t expose much information, the link on the Facebook page brings us to a new website and a simple registration.

In the register-of-interest page, the engine output has been published as 150 hp and 350 Nm; similar numbers with the small displacement 1.9-litre four-cylinder turbodiesel mill. However, the biggest difference is the 4×2 drivetrain, where the new variant will be a simpler rear-wheel drive model with a six-speed automatic transmission.

A quick recap on the all-new Isuzu D-Max double-cab launched in Malaysia. The Standard 1.9L is available in both types of transmission and 4×4 (part-time) drivetrain, priced from RM99,599.20. The more luxurious Premium 1.9L is only equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission and priced from RM121,549.20 with niceties such as LED tail lamps, automatic wipers, roof rails, 18-inch wheels, soft-touch interior and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

Isuzu Malaysia is set to launch the new Isuzu D-Max ‘4X2 Auto Plus’ variant as soon as tomorrow afternoon (October 12th). We will update our website as soon the more information is provided.
