Video: Mercedes-AMG C63S Sedan & Coupe Facelift, Things You Need to Know

Launched alongside the AMG GT 4-door Coupe on Sepang International Circuit is the Mercedes-AMG C 63 S facelift in both Sedan and Coupe guise. Here are Things You Need to Know about the refreshed C 63 S.

Mechanically, the facelifted C 63 S twins share the same M177 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 packing 510 hp and 700 Nm of twist, except the 7-speed transmission is now replaced by a 9-speed AMG Speedshift 9G MCT automatic. The rear-wheel-drive Sedan and Coupe will go from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.0 seconds and 3.9 seconds respectively. Top speed is limited to 290 km/h on both cars.

There is also a new “Slippery” mode for the AMG Dynamic Select system to give drivers maximum traction and control when the roads get a little too wet. Of course, the existing Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Race modes still remain.
